MICHAEL VILLALOBOS

In 2017, Michael followed his passion for filmmaking and enrolled in the film program at DePaul University. There, he further developed his skills in not only videography, but motion picture productions. After graduating in the spring of 2021, Michael took to the freelance world jumping straight into the industry - working in mainly film/ television while also continuing to shoot events and weddings.
Notably, Michael has worked on numerous film sets across the United States and directed multiple short films (one award winning). In August of 2019, Michael began work on his first TV show as a production assistant on NBC Universal Studios - Chicago PD. After graduation in 2021, the freelance career officially began and saw Michael working as a production assistanton television shows like FX - The Bear Season 4, AMC Studios - 61st Street, HBO's - Southside, & Disney's - Saturdays). Along with television, Michael worked in the feature film world as both a production assistant and as an assistant director most notably as the 2nd Assistant Director for an independent film called "Ghostlight" that was selected for the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. "Ghostlight" was distributed by IFC to be shown in hundreds of AMC theaters across the U.S. in the summer of 2024.
